Since 1995, FiberGate has built a reputation as a pioneer in the field of high speed Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs) using dark fiber. Our virtually unlimited bandwidth offering, allows our customers to receive the same secure high-speed data communications access between buildings as they currently have within a building. MANs act as extensions to a Local Area Network (LAN). With this capability, data can flow across town as fast and as securely as it flows across the hall.
Our high-speed fiber optic network offers a competitive alternative to corporations and government institutions that are seeking secure networks at a fixed cost. Our customers include the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the University of Maryland/INET2 project, National Institutes of Health (NIH), Health and Human Services (HHS), the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Association (NOAA), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and numerous biotechnical engineering companies across the region.
