William J. Boyle
President, CEO
Bill is responsible for all aspects of the company since co-founding it back in May 1995. Mr. Boyle has been expanding the company's fiber optic footprint in the Greater Washington, DC area, from 4 buildings on a three mile ring to over 230 buildings and 400 route miles. By assembling a veteran team experienced in expanding fiber optic networks, FiberGate has been able to deliver top quality fiber services on time to our customers.
Bill holds a BA in Marketing from the University of Maryland College Park.
Louis M. Brown, Jr
Chairman of the Board
Lou joined FiberGate in 1999, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors. Lou is one of Washington’s most successful high-tech entrepreneurs. Over the past 40+ years, Lou led a family of high-tech companies whose success is measured in double-digit growth. The technologies span telecommunications and fiber optic systems; leading-edge information technologies for hospitality information and retail systems; electronic point-of-sale; network management; media asset management; clean alternative energy and other technology-enablers for the 21st century. All together, these companies employ over 5,000 people worldwide with combined corporate sales exceeding $1 Billion.
Lou graduated from the Johns Hopkins University with a BSEE degree in 1966.
Ronald J. Kolson
Vice President, CFO
Ron has over 25 years of financial and operations management experience in various industries, having held senior management positions in several high tech companies, including fiber-optic networking, digital imaging, hospitality information technology, and government services contracting. Prior to joining FiberGate in 2000, he was the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of MICROS Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: MCRS), the world's leading provider of hospitality management systems for the hotel and restaurant industry. Ron spent 15 years with MICROS where he had also served as its VP/Chief Financial Officer.
Ron began his career in Washington, DC as an auditor with Ernst & Ernst. He became a Certified Public Accountant in Maryland after graduating from The Pennsylvania State University with a BS degree in Accounting.
Beatriz E. McNelly
Vice President
Beatriz is co-founder and Vice President. She represents the internal core of FiberGate Inc. since its inception in 1995. Beatriz oversees and is responsible for a wide variety of functions including, but not limited to, financials, purchasing, scheduling, order fulfillment, customer service, and human resources. She is the focal point for all administrative duties in regards to government contracts. Beatriz’s wealth of knowledge, and her ability to wear so many different hats, makes her invaluable to FiberGate Inc.
Susan D. Hageman
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Sue brings over twenty years of Telecommunications experience to FiberGate managing many different functions including: sales and marketing, business development, network expansion, account development, and sales development. Her primary role is to grow and develop the revenue in Wholesale, Enterprise, and Government Markets for FiberGate. Ms. Hageman’s tenure and focus in telecom has had a wide range of company products and footprints. Today she manages a large metropolitan area for dark fiber. She has performed at the highest level of productivity even during the very tumultuous telecom period and in a super competitive pricing environment.
Sue earned her BS degree from West Virginia University, in Sports Marketing.
